About The Position

Strategies to Empower People is seeking a full-time Program Manager for Behavioral Support Services to coordinate, develop, and implement a community-based supported living program for adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities (I/DD) who have significant behavioral and medical challenges. This role involves overseeing Supported Living Services in the Sacramento area, working directly with individuals who may exhibit aggressive behaviors. The Program Manager will handle administrative duties, documentation, reports, supervising field staff, conducting on-site assessments, providing hands-on support, and developing plans and goals for clients. Key responsibilities include implementing crisis intervention plans, writing and implementing therapeutic treatment plans, and conducting quality assurance checks.

Requirements

  • At least three (3) years of experience working directly with individuals who have Intellectual and/or Developmental Disabilities (I/DD population).
  • At least three (3) years of experience working directly with individuals who have regular and consistent behavioral challenges, including physical aggression, elopement, self-injurious behaviors, and other challenges.
  • At least two (2) years of supervisory experience (supervising staff, not individuals with disabilities).
  • At least two (2) years of budgetary/finance experience.
  • Understanding of Supported Living Services (SLS).
  • Understanding of the Medi-Cal system.

Nice To Haves

  • Educational background (BA/MA) in a related field, such as Psychiatry or Social Work.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and coordinate Supported Living Services for I/DD adults in the Sacramento area.
  • Work directly with individuals who have potentially aggressive behaviors in their homes and communities.
