About The Position

Caterpillar is looking to hire a Program Manager – Enterprise Trade Compliance. The Program Manager is responsible for driving strategic initiatives that enhance the effectiveness, efficiency, and maturity of the global trade compliance program. This role serves as a central coordinator for communications, governance, project execution, and continuous improvement efforts across Enterprise Trade Compliance. The Program Manager partners closely with compliance leaders, legal counsel, business units, and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure strategic priorities are executed effectively, decisions are governed appropriately, and change is implemented successfully across the enterprise. Requirements

  • 8-10 years of progressive experience in leading teams to drive change required.
  • Experience in program management and strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and executive-level communication skills.
  • Continuous improvement and process optimization experience.
  • Proven ability to influence without direct authority and drive results through collaboration.

Nice To Haves

  • Trade Compliance, Customs, Export Controls, legal, or regulatory experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate Trade Compliance initiatives by managing project portfolios, developing execution plans, tracking progress, mitigating risks, and driving alignment across stakeholders.
  • Administer governance processes by preparing executive communications, tracking decisions, and ensuring accountability for strategic priorities.
  • Develop and execute communication and change management strategies that drive awareness, engagement, training, and adoption of Trade Compliance initiatives across the enterprise.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to simplify, standardize, automate, and continuously improve Trade Compliance processes, controls, and operating effectiveness. Incorporate technology solutions and data to drive process efficiency and effectiveness.
