About The Position

CrowdStrike is a global leader in cybersecurity, protecting organizations with an advanced AI-native platform. This role supports the Sensor Foundations Platform Group, which builds robust sensor infrastructure, platform engineering capabilities, and cloud services powering the endpoint security platform. The Senior Program Manager will transform program management for complex sensor platform engineering programs using AI-enhanced workflows and traditional leadership. This involves managing over 100 platform and cloud engineers across different geographies and developing AI-powered solutions to automate tasks, provide insights, and enhance decision-making. The role requires close collaboration across functional teams in Europe and the United States to manage dependencies, identify issues, and drive resolutions. This is a hybrid role based in the Sunnyvale Office, requiring 2-3 days on-site per week.

Requirements

  • 12 + years managing complex platform engineering and infrastructure programs with 100+ engineers.
  • Expert-level Jira proficiency and Agile/Scrum methodology experience.
  • Proven track record owning programs/portfolios of products/features, scoping requirements, and planning milestones.
  • Strong organizational awareness with ability to navigate complex organizational structures and manage cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Ability to extrapolate context from complex technical conversations and provide teams with valuable summations around action items and next steps.
  • Attention to detail with ability to make logical, timely decisions in fast-paced environments.
  • Excel at proactively driving results while serving as an active resource for technical teams.
  • Hands-on experience with agentic AI tools (Claude Code, GitHub, Copilot) as daily workflow accelerators.
  • Ability to build Claude skills, AI workflows, and prompt engineering solutions.
  • Experience integrating AI into existing enterprise workflows and infrastructure tools.
  • Comfort with light development in Python or Go for AI automation scripts.
  • Proven experience utilizing AI technologies to enhance decision-making, streamline workflows and processes, improve efficiency and drive business outcomes.
  • Seasoned team coach managing distributed platform and cloud engineering teams across timezones.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to traverse seamlessly between strategic direction and tactical execution.

  • Experience supporting platform engineering portfolios that drive infrastructure, build systems, cloud architecture, and system reliability.
  • Deep familiarity with build systems, deployment automation, infrastructure monitoring, and platform scaling.
  • Understanding of cloud-native technologies, microservices architecture, container orchestration, and infrastructure automation.
  • Knowledge of platform engineering languages and tools (Go, Python, Terraform, Kubernetes, GitLab CI/CD).
  • Knowledge of sensor core technologies, endpoint platforms, and system performance optimization.

Responsibilities

  • Partner and facilitate directly with platform engineering, cloud engineering, and sensor core teams at all levels, from debugging deployment issues to providing executive updates.
  • Demonstrate deep technical fluency in architecture, cloud infrastructure, build systems, and platform engineering practices to align with business objectives and drive project deliverables, resources, and timelines.
  • Drive technical decision-making processes, facilitating discussions between engineering teams to resolve architectural challenges, infrastructure dependencies, and build system optimizations.
  • Create and drive project delivery schedules for sensor platform initiatives, working with engineering management on task assignments and managing progress of portfolio phases.
  • Collaborate with multiple worldwide business units to clearly identify, explain, and communicate project involvement, goals, expectations, and deliverables for sensor infrastructure programs.
  • Proactively track status of platform engineering activities and ensure schedules and priorities are met for sensor releases, infrastructure scaling, and build system improvements.
  • Ensure critical infrastructure issues are identified, tracked through resolution, and escalated appropriately.
  • Manage daily/weekly project communication and status reporting for complex sensor platform initiatives.
  • Coach distributed teams and cross-functional partners on frameworks and shared accountability.
  • Build AI-powered dashboards and automated reporting systems using Claude skills and agentic workflows for project monitoring and program insights.
  • Create intelligent integrations between Jira, GitLab, monitoring tools, and build systems that surface platform health and program risks automatically.
  • Develop AI agents that proactively identify infrastructure bottlenecks, build failures, deployment blockers, and resource scaling opportunities.
  • Design AI-enhanced workflows that automate routine program management tasks while improving visibility into sensor platform engineering programs.
