The National Safety Council is seeking a Program Manager, Employer Engagement & Training to support the growth and delivery of our Our Driving Concern (ODC) traffic safety program in Ohio. This is a highly external-facing, relationship-driven role focused on building partnerships with employers and delivering engaging, impactful training sessions. You will serve as a key representative of the program—leading conversations, facilitating trainings, and helping organizations adopt safer driving practices. Success in this role requires confidence in presenting to diverse audiences, strong relationship-building skills, and the ability to independently drive outreach and engagement in a remote environment. Applicants must reside in or within close proximity to Ohio. The Program Manager leads the Our Driving Concern (ODC) employer traffic safety program in Ohio, a grant-funded initiative focused on preventing crashes and saving lives through employer-based education. This role is responsible for building and maintaining relationships with employers and community partners, delivering engaging in-person and virtual trainings, and driving program performance aligned with state highway safety priorities. The position is highly external-facing and requires strong presentation and facilitation skills, as well as the ability to confidently engage employers and stakeholders. Success in this role is driven by the ability to proactively identify opportunities, build relationships, and consistently drive outreach and training activity to achieve program goals. The Program Manager works in close coordination with a Program Coordinator, who supports grant administration and compliance processes, while the Program Manager provides the programmatic input and execution needed to meet performance goals. This role requires the ability to balance outreach, training delivery, and performance tracking in a fast-paced, remote environment.
