About The Position

Coordinate and manage the staff and services of the Developmental Disability programs of Goodwill Industries of Greater Nebraska, Inc.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field.
  • Minimum of three years experience in the field of developmental disabilities.
  • At least one year leadership or management experience.
  • Valid driver’s license issued in the State of Nebraska.
  • Meet insurance requirements.
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
  • Demonstrate ethics that are above reproach by consistently making decisions that prioritize integrity, transparency, and accountability.

Responsibilities

  • Provide program leadership through active involvement in service provision.
  • Research and implement best practices in service delivery.
  • Recruit, hire and supervise program staff.
  • Monitor and provide on-going staff training needs.
  • Assist with ensuring completion of the ongoing individual assessment process, implementation of training programs and service objectives as written and scheduled, as well as monitoring to ensure documentation is complete and progress made.
  • Participate in the development of Individual Support Plans (ISP) and coordinate the agencies involved.
  • Serve as a resource in the development of skill training strategies and behavioral support strategies.
  • Monitor individual to staff ratios.
  • Participate in the development of the program budget and monitor budget performance.
  • Ensure compliance with agency policies and outside regulations and standards.
  • Participate in agency quality assurance, program evaluation, and outcome monitoring activities.
  • Coordinate opportunities for community involvement.
  • Maintain records as required, including utilizing the case management software.
  • Maintain and assure standards of safety for all individuals and employees under his/her supervision.
  • Project a positive image of the organization and persons with disabilities in the community, promote inclusion.
  • Market Goodwill Services in the community through presentations and relationships with potential partners.
  • Coordinate transportation services for individuals with staff and other Goodwill leaders.
  • Present information to Goodwill’s Human Legan Rights Committee.
  • Active involvement in Advisory Committee.
  • Participates in the coverage of Goodwill On-Call Emergency phone rotation and be available for crisis intervention situations during staff coverage if needed.
  • Punctual and consistent attendance and appearance requirements per Goodwill policies.
  • Perform work activities in conformance to Goodwill values, immediately report any wrongdoing (unethical/improper conduct, fraud, fiscal mismanagement, etc.), embrace and support diversity, and encourage and support others to do the same.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
