Program Manager, Capacity Management

Oracle•Nashville, TN

About The Position

The Program Manager, Capacity Management owns capacity planning and execution, translating workload demand into usable capacity while accounting for hardware compatibility, regional constraints, performance, and resilience headroom. The role reconciles customer commitments and consumption trends with procurement, deployment, and qualification timelines, and identifies shortages and excess capacity early. The position drives allocation decisions, supports strategic customer commitments with credible availability dates and mitigation options, and escalates conflicts with quantified customer impact and recommended resolutions. It partners with engineering and finance to improve utilization and economics through rebalancing, reclamation, and deployment improvements while preserving service objectives. The role owns forecast quality and data integrity, investigates forecast errors and bias, maintains traceable assumptions, and uses scenarios to surface risks. It also defines and delivers automation improvements for capacity data pipelines, reconciliation, forecasting, allocation workflows, and alerts. The Program Manager resolves readiness gaps and cross-team dependencies, recovers delayed capacity, and turns recurring issues into improvements.
