About The Position

Datadog is expanding its investment in AI and Developer-focused events and is seeking a Program Manager to join the Community team. This role will support content and advocacy efforts for these events. The Technical Advocacy team focuses on local user communities and delivering technical content globally. The Program Manager will be responsible for planning and executing AI and Developer events, collaborating with various Datadog teams to ensure high-quality events and positive customer experiences. Requirements

  • Approximately 2-5 years of experience in program management, leading similar initiatives such as large scale conferences and related programs within a similar technical environment (B2B SaaS company), partnering closely with technical stakeholders
  • Experience working collaboratively across cross-functional teams; strong leadership and interpersonal skills, experience building and fostering effective working relationships
  • Strong communication skills, attention to detail and enjoy building processes
  • A data-driven approach to program management; building tools (workflows, custom work intake processes, estimation models), collecting and analyzing data, and driving stakeholder buy-in
  • Experience influencing without direct authority at senior levels internal and external to the organization
  • Able to travel via train or air, domestically and internationally, up to 20% of the time

Responsibilities

  • Growing Datadog’s presence at AI events and identifying opportunities for meetups, hands-on learning, and sponsored events, with a focus on AI or Developer events
  • Planning technical programming for AI or developer events that Datadog hosts or sponsors
  • Supporting AI and developer focused content at larger global events such as DASH, Datadog’s annual conference
  • Tracking deadlines and deliverables for our content and events, including digital and physical assets, and working with vendors and procurement teams as needed to ensure event success
  • Identifying and resolving risks and blockers for our event programing
  • Maintaining our internal tools and public website for event agenda and speaker content
  • Owning our onsite speaker experience for both internal and customer speakers
  • Managing event programming onsite, coordinating rehearsals, staffing, and ensuring smooth onsite operations
  • Collaborate closely with our Community teams, external stakeholders, and the VP of Community
  • Create and refine processes; maintain focus on continual improvements, automation and scaling
  • Communicate goals, status, risks, and impact to teams and stakeholders ensuring alignment and visibility of information across teams.
