About The Position

The Program Manager - Academic Transformation supports the successful execution of complex education transformation initiatives by managing day-to-day program operations, coordinating workstreams, and ensuring high-quality, on-time delivery. This role partners closely with Directors, internal MGT teams, and client stakeholders to translate strategy into execution, monitor progress, manage risks, and support sustainable academic improvement outcomes. The Program Manager plays a critical role in maintaining program momentum, driving accountability, and ensuring alignment across teams, timelines, and deliverables.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required in education, public policy, business, or a related field.
  • Five (5) or more years of experience in program or project management, preferably within education, consulting, or public-sector environments.
  • Experience supporting complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives with multiple workstreams.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
  • Proficiency with project management tools such as Smartsheet and/or Asana, including dashboards, trackers, and reporting.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing executive-ready materials.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams and independently in fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day execution of Academic Transformation programs, ensuring milestones, deliverables, and timelines are met.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and trackers across multiple workstreams.
  • Monitor progress, dependencies, and risks; proactively flag issues and support timely resolution.
  • Coordinate internal MGT teams, client stakeholders, and external partners to ensure alignment and consistency.
  • Translating high-level strategy into actionable plans
  • Supporting goal-setting and success metrics
  • Connecting daily work to broader academic outcomes
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for program logistics, coordination, and status updates.
  • Support preparation and facilitation of client meetings, working sessions, and executive briefings.
  • Develop and maintain clear communication materials, agendas, notes, and follow-ups to ensure shared understanding and accountability.
  • Day-to-day client relationship management (as appropriate)
  • Increasing ownership of client-facing communication
  • Supporting Directors by representing the program in client interactions
  • Track program performance using dashboards, reports, and data tools to ensure transparency and accountability.
  • Ensure deliverables meet quality standards and align with agreed-upon scope and objectives.
  • Support data analysis and synthesis to inform decision-making and continuous improvement.
  • Identify emerging risks, issues, and gaps related to scope, timeline, resources, or stakeholder alignment.
  • Support development and implementation of mitigation plans in partnership with Directors and senior team members.
  • Escalate issues appropriately while maintaining strong client relationships and program stability.
  • Supporting tracking of hours, scope alignment, or contractual milestones
  • Proactively identifying risks that could impact budget or delivery commitments
  • Support Directors in coordinating team workloads, onboarding new team members, and maintaining program documentation.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of Academic Transformation tools, templates, and best practices.
  • Foster a collaborative, organized, and solutions-oriented team culture.
  • Supporting skill development of junior team members
  • Providing feedback on work products
  • Helping establish team norms and effective collaboration practices
  • Identifying process improvements
  • Recommending ways to improve program efficiency and effectiveness
  • Supporting continuous improvement across engagements
