About The Position

Boeing Global Services, Distribution Business, is looking for a dynamic Program Management Manager to join our team in Enfield, CT. This role is accountable for the overall profitability and performance of assigned program(s), including the enhancement of existing and implementation of new programs. The manager will maintain and create a professional yet personalized relationship with assigned customers and is accountable for continuous improvement in customer program management tools and processes. This position involves end-to-end program lifecycle management (planning, execution, monitoring, and closure), collaborating with and influencing cross-functional internal leaders regarding customer-specific strategy, execution, and customer relationship management. Responsibilities include consistent management and administration of contractual obligations, all recoveries and remedies for programs adhering to contractual commitments, and risk management and mitigation strategies. The role supports the coordination and clarification of analysis with business partners to validate results and determine scope to meet long-range business goals, and integrates the implementation of Program Management Practices. Daily RAIL management & execution, facilitating the resolution of program issues, and developing solutions to complex problems requiring ingenuity and innovation are key. The manager will provide in-depth analysis, identify lessons learned, and provide historical reports for future project plans. Data collection, organization, and provision according to established processes within the management system are required to maintain program status, customer and supplier commitments, and compliance. Ensuring follow-up action for issue resolution, providing coaching and guidance to teammates, fostering a collaborative and growth environment, and performing 1-on-1s are also part of the role. The position requires being a subject matter expert in program management, conducting program reviews with external and internal senior leadership, and providing approvals for CR/Rebills and RMAs. Creation of Get to Green Plans and providing KPI metrics reports are essential. The role supports Customer On-Site Business Reviews and leads cross-functional teams through high-stress recovery situations. Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned or required. Requirements

  • At least one year of experience in leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or format manager experience) OR have completed the Boeing internal course “Exploring Leadership.”
  • 10 + years of experience in programs or accounts management
  • 2+ years’ experience engaging in senior level communication including presentation development and report outs
  • 3+ years’ experience working with internal and external customers
  • 2+ years’ experience establishing, management and reporting of metrics.
  • Ability and willingness to travel domestically & internationally up to 50% of the time
  • Experience with standard Microsoft Office Applications
  • This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree – Business Administration or Engineering or Related Field of Study (master’s degree preferred) or equivalent work experience.

  • Previous experience in the aerospace industry/fasteners, preferred
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
