About The Position

AECOM is seeking an experienced Program Manager to support a major project in the Grand Rapids, MI. This role involves overseeing program-related activities for smaller programs or defined parts of larger programs, providing technical leadership and strategic direction for program delivery. The position advocates for ethical and safe working practices, supports innovation in program management approaches, and identifies areas of high risk to proactively impact program outcomes. The Program Manager will also contribute to the global learning and people development strategy for program management, assess long-term trends, propose skill development approaches, and support talent attraction and retention. This role is accountable for the overall financial success and delivery of AECOM Program Management agreements.

Requirements

  • BA/BS + 8 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and or education.

Nice To Haves

  • 10 or more-years of experience working in project management, program management and/or construction management
  • Experience working with large, advanced manufacturing, technology and/or corporate sector clients
  • Ability to travel to project sites in Northeast Illinois, Northwest Indiana, and Southwest Michigan
  • Strong communication and team leadership skills

Responsibilities

  • Oversee program related activities for smaller programs or a defined part of a larger program, in support of the overall Program Manager.
  • Provide technical leadership and strategic direction for program delivery at the program level or for elements of a program.
  • Advocate for ethical and safe working practices.
  • Supports innovation in program management approaches and methodology to achieve marketplace differentiation.
  • Identify areas of high risk and pro-actively takes actions to positively impact program outcomes.
  • Contribute to the global learning and people development strategy for program management, including identification of talent gaps and resourcing plans.
  • Assess long-term and disruptive trends in their area of expertise.
  • Proposes skill development approaches and workforce planning to deliver capabilities for the future.
  • Actively supports the attraction and retention of talent across area of expertise.
  • Accountable for overall financial success and delivery of AECOM Program Management agreement.
