The Program Lead is responsible for creating a nurturing, positive learning environment and developing strategies to help clients cope effectively with social, emotional, and physical situations of daily living, facilitating independent performance in these areas. This role requires the ability to perform all job functions of a Residential Instructor and Assistant Manager, including lifting and transferring clients (70-75lbs). The work is active and performed both inside and outside the home. The Program Lead must be able to utilize approved protective hold techniques to ensure safety. This position involves participating in the development and implementation of Individualized Plans of Service (IPOS), tracking data, generating reports, and participating in the Interdisciplinary Team Process. The Program Lead must be fully knowledgeable about each client's IPOS, programs, needs, medications, and routines, ensuring timely implementation and proper documentation. They will monitor medical, physical, and behavioral changes, reporting them to the appropriate departments and management. The role includes correcting errors in client programs, monitoring medication administration by certified staff, ensuring dietary plans are followed, and maintaining the cleanliness and upkeep of the home and vehicles. The Program Lead must uphold client privacy, adhere to confidentiality policies, and conduct themselves professionally as a positive role model. Responsibilities also include conducting monthly staff meetings, providing mandatory training, ensuring clients follow daily schedules with community outings and activities, maintaining compliance with DDS regulations, managing home finances (petty cash and client funds), scheduling staff to ensure safe ratios, and familiarizing themselves with agency policies. The Program Lead will rotate on-call duties, report monthly to the agency, monitor adaptive equipment, ensure safety compliance, conduct fire drills, and be responsible for interviewing and recommending new direct care staff. They must also participate in and ensure staff compliance with training requirements, complete client incident reports, work with consultants to implement client services, and supervise staff daily, including progressive discipline and evaluations. Finally, they perform other duties as delegated by management.
