Requirements

Must be at least 21 years of age.
Must meet agency driving standards.
Must pass a periodic WI Caregiver Background Check, including Department of Justice Criminal Record Checks and/or checks of previous states of residence.

Nice To Haves

Associate degree or higher in a health care related field; or a Bachelor’s degree in a field other than health care, and one year experience working in a health care related field having direct contact working with and teaching persons with developmental disabilities; or possess a valid nursing home administrator’s license.
Prior supervisory experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

Provides direct care support to members with disabilities by assisting with activities of daily living, including bathing, toileting, and hygiene as outlined by the individual service plan.
Utilizes mobility devices and practices safe transfer and ambulation techniques.
Leads group home meetings and communicates changes to staff, consumers, and the organization.
Collaborates with HR in hiring, retention, discipline, and termination processes.
Completes all applicable documentation related to assigned tasks.
Maintains a safe, sanitary, and welcoming group home by performing housekeeping duties such as vacuuming, trash removal, cleaning bathrooms, making beds, and changing linens.
Prepares and serves meals according to nutritional guidelines, menus, and individual dietary needs.
Assists, escorts, and provides support to members during social and recreational activities.
