About The Position

Under the direction of the Extended Learning Program Supervisor, Manager, and/or Superintendent designee, plan, organize, and implement systems to monitor, evaluate, and ensure compliance, program quality, and operational consistency across multiple assigned sites; train, supervise, and evaluate the performance of assigned personnel. The Program Lead - Expanded Learning is responsible for conducting site observations, analyzing program and attendance data, supporting staff performance, ensuring audit readiness, and enforcing adherence to district policies, funding requirements, and regulatory guidelines. The position serves as a key accountability partner to ensure program integrity, financial accuracy, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Education, Business Administration, or a closely related field.
  • Two (2) years of experience in a school district, expanded learning program, or other publicly funded program is required.
  • Ability to travel between multiple sites on a daily basis.

Nice To Haves

  • Three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in program compliance, monitoring, auditing, program administration and two (2) years supervisory experience in the public sector, including responsibility for supervising employees covered by collective bargaining agreements is desired.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain standardized observation and feedback cycles across assigned sites to calibrate expectations and ensure operational consistency.
  • Conduct regular site visits to observe program operations, staff practices, and student engagement, providing clear, actionable feedback aligned with compliance and quality standards.
  • Analyze attendance, compliance, and program data to identify trends, discrepancies, and operational areas of risk.
  • Use analyzed data to develop and implement targeted interventions and system improvements in collaboration with the Extended Learning Program Supervisor and Manager.
  • Coordinate, provide, or secure coverage for all site-based positions using authorized resources.
  • Collaborate with peers to design and facilitate professional development and training aligned to identified site needs.
  • Participate in professional development as directed.
  • Conduct annual performance evaluations and provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and support to improve staff effectiveness with input from program specialists and site administrators.
  • Monitor staff progress, ensure accountability for performance expectations, and develop/implement Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs) as needed.
  • Establish, enforce, and monitor standardized tracking systems and procedures to ensure daily, accurate attendance reporting in full compliance with program and funding guidelines.
  • Conduct routine audits of attendance and sign-in/sign-out documentation to ensure all assigned sites remain in a state of continuous audit readiness.
  • Lead preparation and responses for internal and external audits, identifying compliance risks and implementing corrective actions alongside program leadership.
  • Monitor site-level processes for parent fee collection and financial records to ensure accurate, timely collection with minimal variance across sites.
  • Communicate with parents as appropriate.
  • Prepare and present regular performance and trend reports, communicating findings and recommendations directly to district leadership and site administrators.
  • Serve as a key liaison and accountability partner between district leadership and site staff to ensure clear expectations and alignment with standardized program practices.
