By joining our Office for Civil Rights and Small Business Development, Small Business Development Branch as a Program Investigator II in Franklin County; you’ll have the opportunity to administer the Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Program. This position focuses on ensuring compliance with federal regulations, conducting reviews and investigations and supporting small businesses in transportation-related contracting opportunities.

Requirements

  • Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree.
  • Two years of experience in the field of investigation, administrative, business, or social work/eligibility experience.
  • Graduate study in the above fields will substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.
  • Experience in one of the above fields will substitute for the required college on a year-for-year basis.
  • Current or prior military experience will substitute for the required college on a year-for-year basis.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license prior to employment in this job classification.
  • Must maintain any required licensure(s), certification(s), or other credentials for the length of employment in this job classification.
  • Proficient knowledge in interpreting and applying Federal regulations.
  • Meeting deadlines while maintaining workload.

Responsibilities

  • Reviewing and examining documents obtained during the course of the investigation.
  • Obtain and review policies, procedures, regulations and statutes relevant to the investigation.
  • Obtain information and/or evidence relevant to investigation from various databases.
  • Summarize investigation in narrative reports.
  • Make formal recommendations as to the results of the investigations.
