About The Position

Pilot Company is seeking an Application Development Intern to join their team in Knoxville, Tennessee, for the summer of 2027. This internship offers a unique opportunity to directly support efforts to improve operational efficiency and accelerate project delivery by assisting with backlog items, documentation, and support tickets. The intern will be an integral part of the development team, reducing the workload for experienced developers and allowing them to focus on high-priority projects. This role aims to increase overall delivery capacity and provide the intern with valuable experience and a fresh perspective that can spark new ideas for process and system improvements.

Requirements

• A student pursuing a degree in Computer Science with a focus on programming.
• Strong proficiency in C# and .NET is preferred; however, extensive experience with C++ or Java as an alternative will be considered.
• Familiarity with GitHub, AWS cloud systems, and basic SQL knowledge are a plus.
• A willingness to learn, be driven, and be curious.
• Excited about development in a corporate environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Comfortable working alone or in different sized groups.
• Comfortable working within a team.
• Any extra-curricular activities or collaborative project work is a plus.
