About The Position

We’re looking for an enthusiastic Program Instructor to help develop and lead recreational and educational programs at PATH Recreation & Fitness Center. Whether it’s introducing participants to a new activity, helping them build confidence and skills, or simply creating a place where they feel welcome and engaged, you’ll play an important role in making our programs successful.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently
• Ability to facilitate and supervise group activities
• Comfortable using Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
• Current CPR/AED certification or ability to obtain certification within 90 days of hire

Nice To Haves

• At least one year of experience in recreation, fitness, education, youth programming, sports, or a related setting

Responsibilities

• Plan and lead fun, engaging, and age-appropriate recreational and educational activities
• Create programming that supports participants’ social, emotional, and physical well-being
• Actively engage with participants and help create a positive, inclusive environment
• Facilitate and supervise group activities while keeping safety and fun at the forefront
• Assist with program registration, attendance, participant records, and other program details
• Build positive relationships with participants, members, guests, and families
• Answer questions and provide friendly, timely follow-up
• Stay knowledgeable about classes, programs, activities, and special events happening at the center
• Help keep courts, fitness spaces, equipment, and program areas clean, organized, and ready for use
• Work collaboratively with other team members to support programs and special events
• Perform other duties as assigned

Benefits

• This position is paid on a commission basis, with earnings tied to the programs/classes instructed and participation. Additional details regarding the commission structure will be discussed during the interview process.
