Our Recreation Team is currently looking to hire two Program Instructors to support our Challenge Course! The ideal candidate enjoys working with groups and can create an encouraging, inclusive, and engaging environment for middle school through adult participants. Experience facilitating recreation, education, camps, team-building activities, or other group programs is preferred. Previous challenge course, ropes course or high ropes experience is a plus but is not required; training will be provided to candidates who demonstrate strong communication, sound judgment, dependability, and a willingness to learn. Challenge Course Instructors lead cooperative games, team initiatives, and high ropes challenge course activities using a “Challenge by Choice” approach. They support participants’ physical and emotional safety, assist with daily course and equipment inspections, follow established safety and rescue procedures, and work collaboratively with fellow instructors and program staff. Candidates must be comfortable working outdoors, working at heights of 30–40 feet, lifting and moving equipment up to 40 pounds, and maintaining a flexible schedule. This is a part-time position averaging approximately 18 hours per week, generally supporting up to three programs per week. A flexible schedule is ideal, with most programs expected to take place during daytime weekday and Saturday hours. First Aid/CPR/AED certification is required or must be completed upon hire. Come make a difference in our community and join our amazing team!
