Program Fitness Instructor-Water Fitness
About The Position
The City of O'Fallon is looking for energetic and dependable team members for the position of Aqua Aerobics Fitness Instructor. This is a part-time opportunity where you can use your water fitness know-how and skills in decision making, problem solving and dealing with the public. Our Aqua Aerobics Fitness Instructors enjoy a flexible schedule along with a fun work environment and earn competitive pay with an expected starting rate of pay of $25.00 hourly. As part of our Recreation team, this position plays an important role in providing water fitness instruction to groups and individuals. Generally, you'll teach a few classes each week, including helping out when a substitute teacher is needed.
Requirements
- Evening availability
- Know first aid and CPR
- Specialized certification training from a nationally recognized organization, such as ACE, AFAA, or NASM Group Exercise Certification

- Knowledgeable in basic water fitness principles and skills
- Comfortable leading a group and teaching individuals
- Self-motivation by always looking for ways to improve their knowledge and skills

Responsibilities
- Providing instruction in a variety of water fitness classes and top notice customer service to patrons
- Attending mandatory in-service training
- Providing first aid and emergency rescue as needed
