About The Position

Peraton is seeking a Program Financial Analyst to join a team supporting the Intelligence Community (IC) customer. This role is within the National Security Space (NSS) Business Unit and focuses on protecting national space assets. The analyst will utilize Excel for budget and forecast analysis to meet contractual requirements and will learn and adapt to new tools, including the Deltek/Costpoint system.

Requirements

  • BS+ 2-4 years of finance experience. 4 years of equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Have active TS/SCI Clearance with poly
  • Bachelor's degree Preferable in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field and 2 years of experience. Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Must be located in the DC Metro area and be able to work in Herndon, VA
  • Must possess computer skills using Microsoft Office, specifically Microsoft Excel
  • Highly motivated individual with excellent communication skills
  • US Citizen

Responsibilities

  • Learn the Deltek/Costpoint system and work to upload actuals / ETC / performance into the tool to assist in preparation of monthly CDRLs
  • Incorporate contractual changes into the cost baseline, actuals reconciliation, prepare and maintain spend plans and develop and review Estimates at Complete (EACs)
  • Assist Control Account Managers (CAMs) with EVMS activities that include: creating Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), learn earned value report time phase to update forecast in Prism, performance measurement and VAR analysis research and reporting
  • Performs analysis of budgets and schedules needed to meet contractual/project requirements for assigned portions of a program or programs.
  • Monitors and reports performance against plans to ensure that contractual cost and schedule objectives are met.
  • Prepares financial reports, statements, estimates (ETC, EAC), and other program deliverables to ensure effective management.
  • Work with program teams to coordinate, negotiate and resolve financial compliance issues to ensure accurate interpretation of contract requirements.
  • Interfaces with management, responding to their requests for financial data.
