About The Position

CoreCivic is seeking a Program Facilitator to conduct programs for inmates/residents assigned to residential and non-residential programs in an institutional, secure setting. The role interviews and assesses prospective participants to determine individual and group needs, then implements a range of programs.

The Program Facilitator plans and conducts workshops and group activities, follows standard program curricula, and supervises program activities. The role also supports a learning environment that encourages personal growth, coordinates program information with staff and departments, maintains confidentiality of participant and administrative files, and evaluates participants’ progress and completion status.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED certification, or equivalent.
• Sixty credit hours of college coursework, unless qualifying work experience is substituted year for year for the educational requirement.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with custody and control of inmates/residents is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interview and assess prospective program participants to determine individual and group needs.
• Implement a wide range of programs for assigned inmates/residents.
• Plan, conduct, or facilitate workshops and group activities related to program assignments.
• Facilitate group discussions, lecture, demonstrate, and use audio or visual aids and other materials to supplement program curricula.
• Follow standard program curricula and supervise all program activities.
• Establish standards of behavior and participation and encourage participants to maintain them in an environment conducive to learning and personal growth.
• Coordinate admissions, evaluations, program completion, and program termination information with interested staff and departments.
• Maintain and monitor the confidentiality of participant and administrative files.
• Evaluate participants’ progress and review their status to verify program completion.
