About The Position

Geotab is seeking a Program Experience Designer, People Operations. This role is a blend of learning designer, experience architect, and AI practitioner, focusing on how people learn and how technology can enhance that learning. The individual will design AI-driven, customized programs for talent onboarding and leadership development globally, with a focus on user experience, measurable outcomes, and rapid prototyping in an ambiguous environment.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of experience in instructional design, learning experience design, or program development within a People, HR, or L&D function.
  • Strong foundation in adult learning principles, competency-based development, and experience design.
  • Demonstrated experience applying UX thinking to learning: learner journey mapping, experience prototyping, usability testing, and iteration based on feedback and data.
  • Hands-on experience building with AI tools — used AI to design, build, or meaningfully enhance learning programs.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple programs simultaneously in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment, balancing quality with speed to impact.
  • Strong facilitation and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience designing for global, multicultural audiences with an understanding of regional compliance, localization requirements, and cross-cultural learning nuance.
  • Comfort working with learning data — knowing what to measure and how to use it to make programs better.
  • Experience with AI tools such as Gemini, Codex, Sonnet, and Claude Code.
  • Experience with AI learning platforms, adaptive learning systems, conversational learning design, or AI coaching tools.
  • Familiarity with learning management systems (Absorb) and how to design within their constraints and capabilities.
  • Background in UX design, service design, or human-centered design — formal or self-taught.
  • Knowledge of learning analytics frameworks and how to connect learning data to business outcomes.
  • Post-secondary Diploma/Degree in Instructional Design, Learning Sciences, Organizational Development, Human Resources, UX Design, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.

Responsibilities

  • Shifting HR programs from one-size-fits-all delivery to customized, AI-enhanced learning journeys.
  • Designing adaptive learning architectures.
  • Creating modular content structures.
  • Developing continuous learning touchpoints for new hires and leaders.
  • Providing regular status reports to key partners.
  • Working closely with People Operations, HR Business Partners, subject matter experts, and cross-functional stakeholders to translate learning needs into business solutions.
  • Managing multiple programs simultaneously in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
  • Balancing quality with speed to impact.
  • Facilitating working sessions to surface tribal knowledge, align on learning outcomes, and ensure programs reflect Geotab’s culture and values across all regions.
  • Ensuring programs are globally ready, designed for cultural adaptability and regional compliance.
  • Defining success metrics beyond completion rates, measuring time-to-productivity, learner confidence, knowledge retention, manager satisfaction, and behavioral change.
  • Instrumenting programs to capture meaningful data on what is working and where learners are struggling.
  • Conducting regular program reviews and sharing actionable insights with stakeholders and leadership.
