About The Position
GDIT is seeking an experienced Program Execution Director to lead and oversee a team dedicated to supporting enterprise-level IT programs, ensuring successful delivery of strategic initiatives across multiple portfolios. This role is responsible for managing a team of program planners and schedulers, driving execution excellence, and aligning program outcomes with organizational objectives. Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's degree
- Experience: 10+ years of program management experience within IT environments
- Leadership experience: 5+ years in leadership roles managing program planning and scheduling teams
- Technical skills: Advanced Excel skills and experience in Oracle Financials
- Technical skills: Strong understanding of program governance, scheduling tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera), and portfolio management frameworks
- Role requirements: Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
- Role requirements: Proven ability to manage complex, multi-million-dollar programs
- Security clearance level: Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance
- US citizenship required
Nice To Haves
- Familiarity with Earned Value Management (EVM) principles and practices for performance measurement and forecasting. Experience integrating EVM into program reporting and decision-making processes.
- PMP, PgMP, or equivalent
Responsibilities
- Leadership & Oversight: Manage and mentor a team of ~15 to 18 program planners and schedulers, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Program Governance: Establish and maintain program governance frameworks, ensuring compliance with organizational standards and best practices.
- Execution Management: Drive program execution across multiple complex initiatives, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with senior leadership, project managers, and cross-functional teams to align program objectives with business priorities.
- Risk & Issue Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate risks to ensure successful program outcomes.
- Reporting & Metrics: Develop and deliver executive-level reporting on program health, performance metrics, and resource utilization
