About The Position

BAE Systems Electronic Solutions is looking for a Program Engineering Manager (PEM) to lead engineering teams in order to achieve successful program execution. You will lead a multi-disciplinary engineering team charged to deliver and support critical mission capabilities. This role will be responsible for planning, staffing, budget, schedules, scope management, risk and opportunity management, and team coordination. You will coordinate with program managers to ensure all customer needs are met and will manage all aspects of the design, integration, test, and delivery of our products. The position will be located in southern New Hampshire and will require periodic travel to other BAE Systems facilities and potentially customer sites.

Requirements

Active DoW Secret Level Security Clearance
Bachelor’s degree in engineering is required, with 10+ years of applicable experience.
Project engineering management including organizational design, planning, estimating, design management, and product verification
Strong team building skills that enable collaboration and coordination within and across teams and functions

Nice To Haves

Experience executing programs from a Cost Account Management (CAM) role utilizing the DoW Earned Value Management System (EVMS)
The ability to obtain a Top Secret Security clearance and a Special Access clearances
8+ years’ experience working with complex electrical products in a development, transition to production and/or sustainment role
10+ years’ experience leading highly technical teams on development, transition to production and/or production programs
Motivated self-starter with leadership skills and ability to effectively work in a team environment.
Excellent independent problem-solving skills, judgment, and analytical capability.
Demonstrable project leadership on multidiscipline teams and projects
Experience presenting technical information to program teams and/or customers.
Ability to lead others to closure.
Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

Engineering focal point for all activity within the projects including strategic planning, bid and proposal support for engineering content, engineering strategy and integrated plans on programs, engineering staffing, issue reporting, and risk and opportunity management.
Provide overall project technical leadership; plan, execute, and manage all engineering efforts within the project.
Partner and collaborate with program managers, functional engineering managers, subcontractors, customers, and factories to ensure program goals, requirements, and needs are understood and achieved.
Monitor project plans and execution to ensure technical and work scope requirements, schedule, and budget are well defined and maintained.
Ensure engineering efforts are planned and executed in accordance with company policies, procedures, processes, and best practices. Provide the coordination between the engineering team, functional managers, and Product Line Engineering Directors, to ensure all necessary reviews are conducted and approvals are received.
