PROGRAM DIRECTOR
About The Position
Rite of Passage Team is hiring for a Program Director at Walton Academy for Growth and Change in DeFuniak Springs, FL. Walton Academy provides residential treatment to improve the lives of high-risk male youth between the ages of 13-19 through mental health and substance abuse services. They offer skills and opportunities in areas such as Carpentry/Home Builders Institute, Sports, and Culinary Arts. The Program Director is responsible for the delivery and oversight of treatment, educational, vocational, and student health and welfare services, ensuring compliance with Rite of Passage policies, procedures, and all federal, state, and local regulations. This role also manages day-to-day site operations, including budgeting, financial stewardship, administration, program elements, promotions, marketing, and staff development and training. The Director provides administrative oversight for the site, serves as a Senior Manager to the Rite of Passage Executive Board, leads the site management team, and ensures the Mission and Values of ROP are upheld.
Requirements
- BA/BS in related field.
- Four years of related experience in residential facility management.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple people and projects.
- Good interpersonal skills including the ability to interview potential employees.
- Must be flexible and able to handle multiple priorities.
- Ability to adjust to high pressure and rapidly changing business conditions.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check, drug screen, physical and TB Test.
Nice To Haves
- Master’s Degree preferred.
Responsibilities

- Day-to-day site operations including budgeting, financial stewardship, administration, program elements, promotions and marketing, and staff development and training.
- Administrative oversight for the site.
- Serve as a Senior Manager to the Rite of Passage Executive Board.
- Leader of the site management team.
- Ensure that the Mission and Values of ROP are represented in every facet under his/her organizational control.
- Create a positive, safe and supportive environment for the youth served.
