Reading Partners is changing the education landscape by addressing the literacy crisis through community volunteers in under-resourced schools. Our program provides one-on-one tutoring to students, helping them master reading fundamentals. The Program Director provides mission-critical leadership to the regional program function, leading a team of four program managers and indirectly leading AmeriCorps members and tutors to implement the Reading Partners program with high fidelity. Reporting to the Executive Director, the Program Director oversees program quality, delivery, and implementation across all schools in the region. This role involves re-committing school partners, building new partnerships, and fostering relationships with districts and schools to support regional scale. The Program Director drives regional program strategy and activities, supporting the Executive Director in growing the region and deepening impact. This individual is a resource mobilizer and relationship-building expert, skilled in leading and leveraging people, processes, and policy both internally and externally.
