About The Position
This Position is temporary and limited to 900 hours. The position involves establishing benchmarks, evaluating and forecasting future performance, and monitoring real-time progress against targets in key operational areas such as enrollment management, academic outcomes, and institutional reporting.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree.
- A total of three (3) years (36 months) in education, training and/or work experience in the area of specialization inherent to the position.
- Master’s Degree in an area consistent with the duties of the position may be substituted for one (1) year of work experience.
- Additional education, training, and/or work experience in the area of specialization may be required based on position requirements.
Responsibilities
- Onboard and train new staff in the role of Institutional Research Analyst in areas of data analysis, model development, report generation, and visualization creation.
- Support departmental, college, and university missions related to student success, policy improvement, instructional budgets, and data-informed decision-making.
- Establish benchmarks based on historical data to evaluate and forecast future performance.
- Monitor real-time progress against targets in enrollment management, academic outcomes, and institutional reporting.
- Collaborate with college leadership to identify relevant institutional information for college missions.
- Identify and analyze patterns in institutional data to inform policy and actions.
- Develop analytical models, identify trends and fluctuations, evaluate data limitations, and specify results for financial management, budgeting, and resource decisions.
- Extract and translate data into usable forms and narratives, providing reports and visualizations to support operations and long-term planning.
- Provide all operational reporting needed by Student Academic Affairs and determine efficient dissemination methods.
- Gather feedback on reports and visualizations and implement improvements.
- Monitor student success factors (pre- and post-enrollment, course availability) and alert the Dean’s Office to emerging issues.
- Develop and implement effective data analysis methods to improve operations related to recruitment, admissions, enrollment, retention, and graduation.
- Serve as the College’s expert on student data matters, including campus-level reporting and initiatives.
- Represent the College on advisory committees and lead new data-related initiatives with campus partners.
- Coordinate with Learning Centers on data collection, outreach, information sharing, logistics, and outcome assessment.
- Provide guidance and recommendations regarding expected academic outcomes by understanding College and Campus policies and programs.
- Advise faculty and staff on the use of data for assessment and evaluation during the grant-writing process.
- Stay informed about new software, processes, and training needs as campus systems evolve.
- Ensure College analytics are up to date and accurate.
- Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.
