About The Position
The Program Director is responsible for the overall success of the program as it relates to regulatory audits, utilization, retention and client success. The Program Director ensures compliance with OASAS residential regulations. The Program Director is responsible for the risk management of the facility and the implementation of clinical services for the program’s residents. Through chart audits, trainings and direct supervision of the program managers, the Program Director ensures that the clinical documentation in the programs meet OASAS regulations. The Program Director has an understanding of the program’s budgets and works with management to ensure financial viability.
Requirements
- Must be a NYS LCSW or LMSW or LMHC
- Must have a working knowledge of OASAS 820 regulations.
- Must also have experience with 820 billing.
- Must have a least 3 years’ supervisory experience.
- Must be able to work as a team player in a drug-free environment.
- Must be able to relate appropriately and effectively with client population.
- Must have good writing and verbal communication skills.
- Must be able to navigate on call responsibilities as this is a 24/7/365 hour operation.
Responsibilities
- Provide supervision to the staff ensuring their compliance with OASAS regulations and ensures the provision of all clinical and administrative services, referrals and linkages with community services and healthcare providers.
- Oversee the program’s management team in assisting the counselors in preparing initial treatment plans and oversees the treatment team in the development, implementation and periodic review of appropriate and timely treatment plans for residents/consumers.
- Responsible for ensuring STARS compliance (treatment status, urine results, and site attestation).
- Ensure OASAS reporting is accurate and up to date monthly.
- Create systems to improve consumer outcomes.
- Provide crisis intervention in consultation with the treatment team.
- Advocate, with other healthcare and community agencies, on behalf of clients to ensure treatment and necessary feedback from outside agencies.
- Responsible for ensuring consumers receive all services in a timely and appropriate manner.
- Reviews all clinical documentation to ensure compliance with OASAS 820 regulations and reports for content and accuracy.
- Responsible for developing clinical groups with curriculums for the program monthly.
- Supervise all services for consumers in the program and ensures the completion of all related documentation and reports.
- Work with Executive Staff to ensure compliance with all contractual regulations.
- Ensure chart compliance monthly and adhere to chart audit review plan. Create a corrective action plan to rectify deficiencies and ensures that written responses are completed in a timely manner.
- Participate in the quarterly quality Assurance/Continuous Performance Improvement meetings, monthly utilization review/ progress review/case conferences and quarterly incident review committee meetings.
- Available to work various shifts, which can include nights, weekends and holidays.
- Performs other tasks as assigned by VP and AVP for Residential Services.
