About The Position

NFI North provides mental health and behavioral support services to people facing life challenges. We design diverse and innovative programs that provide a high level of structure within communities of care when a person or family is in need. Our goal is for people to grow, have hope, thrive in their community and feel like they belong. NFI North has an opening for a Program Director for our 10-bed Adult Program, located at 60 Ohio Street in Bangor, Maine. This program serves adults living with mental illness. Miller Terraces is a behavioral health residential care facility that provides quality treatment services focused on mental health rehabilitation. Candidates must demonstrate strong leadership, communication, and management skills, as well as a genuine appreciation for supporting individuals as they work toward increased independence and an enhanced quality of life.

Requirements

  • At least two years of supervisory experience in a residential setting serving individuals with mental health needs.
  • A bachelor’s degree will be considered for applicants with extensive leadership experience in the field.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in human services, social work, psychology, or a related field.
  • A Residential Care Administrator license is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • The Program Director is administratively and fiscally responsible for the overall operation of the program.
  • This position also provides oversight of the program’s clinical and medical staff.
  • Administrative duties include budget oversight, payroll, scheduling, on-call, training oversight and facilitation of management and staff meetings.
  • The program director is considered an integral part of the larger agency leadership team.
