About The Position

Responsible for managing the services delivered to a designated program or set of programs, and the operation of programs. This is a full-time, exempt, salaried supervisor role. The Program Director oversees organization and implementation of direct supports, person-centered planning and implementation, health care, advocacy, stakeholder relations, regulatory compliance, staffing, training, financial management, and maintenance of the physical environment. The role requires availability to be on call during the week and weekends, and willingness to travel around town from the southside to the westside/middleburg area.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Two to three years of related experience in the Human Services Industry preferred.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience which provides proficiency in the areas of responsibility listed above may be substituted for the above education and experience requirements.
  • Other education and experience as required by applicable regulations.
  • Current driver's license, car registration and auto insurance if driving on behalf of the Company or providing transportation to individuals receiving services.
  • Licensure(s) as required by state.
  • Medication Management Certificate issued with the completion of Company provided training.
  • Mandatory Reporter Certificate issued with the completion of Company provided training.
  • Other training(s) and/or certification(s) per state requirements and/or service line.
  • For specific programs: AZ Behavioral Health programs must meet BHT requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee organization and implementation of direct supports, person-centered planning and implementation, health care, advocacy, stakeholder relations, regulatory compliance, staffing, training, financial management, and maintenance of the physical environment.
  • Participate in hiring events and partner with Talent Acquisition to identify hiring needs for Direct Support Professionals and Program Supervisors.
  • Organize and implement on-site orientation and training for assigned programs, monitor training compliance and documentation, conduct monthly staff meetings, and attend regional and other necessary meetings.
  • Design and monitor employee schedules to ensure all shifts are covered, and monitor and minimize overtime.
  • Conduct rotating performance snapshots and evaluations for direct reports, and review and approve staff performance evaluations.
  • Coach employees, correct or direct employee behavior, recommend and participate in decisions regarding discipline and termination, and manage terminations.
  • Ensure employee safety and workers’ compensation programs, monitor compliance, assist in returning employees to work, and implement, oversee, and train employees about safety.
  • Act as the QIDP (if required), write and approve individual program plans, and train and assist staff with implementation of plans.
  • Periodically audit individual records and other program documentation for accuracy and completion.
  • Conduct progress meetings and reviews as appropriate or determined by the interdisciplinary team, and provide and approve written progress reviews.
  • Oversee licensing compliance for program services and supports, ensure timely and accurate program documentation, implement the Sevita compliance plan, and manage individual rights implementation while maintaining confidentiality and adhering to individual rights standards.
  • Implement systems and oversee management of individual’s funds and property, assuring safety and accuracy, and audit, monitor, and review individual’s financial accounts.
  • Maintain productive and professional relations with individuals, families, case managers and other stakeholders, provide regular communication, and act as a point of contact.
  • Engage in government and community relations, participate in advocacy efforts, and ensure preparedness for home visits.
  • Implement proactive strategies to reduce or eliminate serious incidents, take immediate steps to correct potential safety concerns, review all incidents and direct appropriate response, ensure timely incident reporting, and sign and submit all incident reports.
  • Oversee coordination of health care appointments and monitor individual attendance.
  • Oversee system for medication administration, documentation, and security, review documentation for accuracy and completeness, and ensure employees are certified or trained in medication administration.
  • Approve purchases of medical supplies and equipment, and ensure training in proper use to all employees.
  • Monitor food service in accordance with dietary plans and regulatory compliance, ensure consideration for special needs, occasions, and individual choice, and ensure employees are certified or trained in meal preparation and/or dietary planning.
  • Approve purchase of food, supplies and equipment, review and monitor monthly invoices for accuracy and budgetary compliance, and attest to company credit card statements and monthly invoices.
  • Oversee census, attendance information or other required documentation to assure accurate billing, ensure program documentation is accurate, complete, and compliant, and monitor utilization between authorization and provision of services and supports.
  • Monitor staffing hours for budgetary compliance.
  • Develop understanding of program growth strategy and support implementation of growth initiatives within the program.
  • Monitor census performance for their location(s) and escalate potential service disruptions that impact census.
  • Review referrals to validate fit for specific locations and identify and escalate potential barriers to serving individuals, and coordinate and prepare for in-person site visits.
  • Coordinate preparations required for expected placements including staffing, funding, home set-up, and safety requirements.
  • Ensure vehicles are properly maintained, clean, and safe, implement training procedures for maintenance and safe operation of company-owned vehicles, and address known safety concerns.
  • Monitor and implement strategies to assure neat, clean, and safe program environments, and ensure age-appropriate and aesthetic decoration.
  • Oversee environmental safety program, establish preventive maintenance schedule, and maintain furnishings, equipment, and facilities in good repair and compliant with regulatory standards.
  • Perform other duties and activities as required, including backfilling roles under supervision.
  • Be available on-call to support staff, find coverage or cover shifts as needed.
  • Manage Direct Support Professionals, Program Supervisors and other direct or indirect staff members of the program.
  • Complete performance evaluations, orientation, and training.
  • Make decisions on employee hires, transfers, promotions, salary changes, discipline, terminations, and similar actions.
  • Resolve employee problems within position responsibilities.
