About The Position

Responsible for the overall operation of the residence including the program of services as well as the operation of the building. This role ensures the delivery of program services according to agency policies and procedures, and compliance with applicable city, state, and federal regulations. The Program Director is responsible for recruitment, hiring, and supervision of all program staff, ensuring initial and continuing staff training, and developing and overseeing the staffing schedule. The position also involves the admission and discharge of clients, coordinating/delivering safety and health programs, and reviewing standardized health screening tools. A key aspect of this role is promoting peer-to-peer services and other evidence-based practices such as integrated & coordinated care, wellness self-management, integrated dual diagnosis treatment, and medication review. The Director will review and schedule case/utilization reviews, service/support plans, and plan reviews, and supervise case managers in their service/support planning and collateral contacts with medical and psychiatric care providers. Charting review to ensure compliance with documentation requirements, facilitating weekly clinical meetings, and establishing/maintaining contact with vendors for building equipment are also core duties. The role includes coordinating client committee activities, developing community resources, liaising with collateral providers, and ensuring timely submission of reports. Monthly monitoring of rent arrears and development of collection strategies, performing unit inspections, and overseeing the general upkeep of the building are also part of the responsibilities. Additionally, the Director will review employee timesheets, monitor hours and vacation, serve as a member of the Case Record Review Committee, and act as a “Qualified Mental Health Staff Person”. Recommendations for evaluating and improving program services, and being on-call for emergencies are also expected. Duties as assigned by supervisor will be performed.

Requirements

  • M.A. in the field of psychology or an analogous field or B.A with significant experience in the field.
  • Significant experience in mental health residential settings.
  • Understanding of evidence-based practices in rehabilitation and recovery.
  • Supervisory experience.
