About The Position

Position Summary the Program Director oversees the daily operations, programming, and staff development within the hospital. This role ensures the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based care to patients while maintaining compliance with all regulatory and accreditation standards. The Program Director provides leadership, supervision, and training to staff, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Nursing, or a related behavioral health field required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in behavioral health, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
  • Demonstrated experience in program development, staff training, and performance management.
  • Strong knowledge of behavioral health regulations, accreditation standards, and evidence-based treatment modalities.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and evaluate therapeutic programs that align with the hospital’s mission, vision, and treatment philosophy.
  • Support staff ensuring adherence to best practices and ethical standards.
  • Deliver comprehensive staff training programs focused on clinical competencies, safety procedures, trauma-informed care, and professional development.
  • Monitor program effectiveness through data analysis, patient outcomes, and feedback, making adjustments as needed to improve quality of care.
  • Collaborate with medical, nursing, and administrative teams to ensure integrated and coordinated patient care.
  • Maintain compliance with state, federal, and accreditation requirements, including documentation, reporting, and quality assurance standards.
  • Participate in onboarding and performance evaluations of program staff.
  • Serve as a liaison between hospital leadership, staff, patients, and families to promote effective communication and service delivery.
  • Lead initiatives to enhance staff engagement, retention, and professional growth.
  • Develop and oversee evidence-based programs tailored to the unique needs of individuals with autism, incorporating behavioral, sensory, communication, and social skill interventions.
  • Implement family education and support initiatives to enhance understanding of autism interventions and promote continuity of care beyond the hospital setting.
