About The Position

Jobs for America's Graduates - Kansas (JAG-K) is seeking a Program Director for its programs in Northeastern Kansas, serving the Topeka and Manhattan areas. This role involves directing and managing JAG-K services delivered by Career Specialists within the region. The position offers remote work with occasional travel requirements. JAG-K is a non-profit organization that partners with Kansas schools to support students facing challenges, helping them achieve academic success and graduate high school. With 121 programs in 54 school districts, JAG-K serves over 5,500 students, preparing them for post-secondary education, military service, or the workforce through career exploration and soft skills development. Requirements

  • 1 year of previous supervisory and/or leadership experience.
  • Technology proficient.
  • Lives in Kansas or is willing to relocate.
  • Resume, cover letter, and completed assessment are required.

Responsibilities

  • Directs and manages JAG-K services provided within the specified region by Career Specialists.
  • Monitors programs and data to ensure they are meeting accreditation standards.
  • Conducts monthly staff and classroom observations.
  • Plans, manages, and executes events to increase JAG-K program visibility.
  • Establishes an employer engagement network to increase students' opportunity for career exploration.
  • Advocates for a strong NCA Career Association.
  • Reviews data for continuous improvement within the region.
  • Provides coverage for JAG-K programs during times of Career Specialist vacancy as needed.
