About The Position

Responsible for the development, organization, implementation, management, and evaluation of assigned program services of assigned service areas, and direct supervision staff. Assures compliance with standards, regulations, and laws and works with other management staff to ensure the financial viability of assigned service areas. Works cooperatively with other staff to ensure that the services provided are of the highest quality, accessible in a timely fashion, and produce positive outcomes for those we serve. Provides program feedback and reporting to appropriate management staff and, as appropriate, to funding sources.

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or related Human Services field.
  • A combination of education, training, and relevant experience may be considered in lieu of the stated minimum education, where permitted by leadership and regulation.
  • Upon leadership approval, a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or related Human Services field, Illinois Qualified Intellectual Disability Professional (QIDP), and ten years successful program/service experience including supervisory or management duties may be substituted for education requirement.
  • Five years successful program/service experience including supervisory or management duties required.
  • Valid driver’s license in relevant programs.
  • Knowledge of program management and supervision styles
  • Knowledge of grant proposal writing
  • Knowledge of program planning and evaluation
  • Skill in written and oral communication
  • Skill in interviewing, assessment, and counseling

Responsibilities

  • Performs fiscal budget tasks including submission, defending, negotiating, drafting, and monitoring of program budgets.
  • Consult with and assist executive leadership with development of assigned services, and supervise the implementation, ongoing performance, and evaluation of those service areas.
  • Research/develop new service lines that are consistent with agency’s strategic directions.
  • Represent program interests within the mission of the organization by attending pertinent meetings, making presentations, and advocating for service recipients and services.
  • Monitor assigned site/location KPIs and communicate information with leadership and others as needed to maintain optimal operations/functioning.
  • Ensure hours of care expectations are met and time is dedicated to providing personal growth services to clients, their families and collateral contacts.
  • Work with Quality Assurance to review outcomes data and other established quality measures to ensure quality and effectiveness of services delivered and ensure that training is provided as indicated through analysis of relevant data.
  • Make necessary decisions in the absence of direct supervisor to assure program continuity.
  • Act in consultation with leadership of all levels.
  • Participate in recruitment and hiring, and maintain primary responsibility for training, supervision, disciplinary action, performance appraisal, and staff development of assigned staff and interns.
  • Ensure and/or provide Program supervision consistently and is of the highest quality.
  • Participate in the planning and delivery of community education and consultation, including development and maintenance of community awareness of available services.
  • Supervise staff in the collection of service recipient process and outcome data, compile statistical data, supervise conformity to service/program plans, and assist in projecting future program needs and services.
  • Monitor compliance with service contracts, subcontracts, licensure, and accreditation standards, grant guidelines, funding agency expectations, and Corporation policies and procedures.
  • Monitor billing and service documents for accuracy and to assure billing and funding source requirements are achieved by team members, and document same with supervising signature as applicable and as required by payer source.
  • Work cooperatively with Program Managers and Vice President to manage expenses and maintain a balanced budget for assigned services and/or locations.
  • Work in cooperation with other management staff to assure smooth continuum of services within the organization. This includes, but is not limited to, participation in Management Team meetings, performance of strategic planning functions, assessment of risk management initiatives, and maintenance of policy compliance.
