About The Position

Pima Medical Institute in Seattle, WA is seeking a Program Director for their Surgical Technology Associate Degree Program. This role is for a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) who wants to transition from clinical practice to academic leadership. The Program Director will mentor faculty, shape curriculum, and ensure graduates are well-prepared for board exams and the operating room. This position serves as a bridge between clinical practice and academic standards, aiming to keep the program at the forefront of the healthcare community in Washington State.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from a USDE-recognized, accredited institution
  • Graduate of a CAAHEP- or ABHES-accredited Surgical Technology program (or recognized military training equivalent)
  • Active Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential through an NCCA-accredited national certification program
  • Current license, registration, or certification as required by local, state, or federal law
  • 3+ years of operating room experience in the scrub role within the last 5 years OR 3+ years of teaching experience in the field of Surgical Technology
  • Evidence of continued education and training in Education Methods, Surgical Technology standards, and credentialing and administration
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and general computer literacy
