About The Position

The Program Director (PT, OT, SLP, RN) - Acute Rehabilitation Unit is a full-time position at Arroyo Grande Community Hospital ARU. This role is dedicated to making communities healthier by providing exceptional care. The Program Director is responsible for the total operation of the rehabilitation program, planning, directing, and coordinating program activities to ensure company and client goals are met. The role also involves contributing to program development, quality improvement, problem-solving, and productivity enhancement in an interdisciplinary fashion.

Requirements

  • Current California license as a Physical Therapist (PT), Occupational Therapist (OT), Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Registered Nurse (RN).
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in a healthcare or human services setting.
  • Proven management experience and/or a strong rehabilitation background.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Proficiency with computers and current technology.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with a geriatric or disabled population.

Responsibilities

  • Lead program staffing, team supervision, and staff development across the interdisciplinary team.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory standards, and quality care practices.
  • Drive operational efficiency, including oversight of budgets, referrals, and admissions processes.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and promote a high level of customer service.
  • Support quality management initiatives and participate in safety and performance improvement activities.
