About The Position

The Program Director, Office of Medical Leadership (OML) functions as a strategic partner and executive operations lead to the Physician-in-Chief (PIC), advancing the PIC's leadership agenda through strategic coordination, portfolio management, and executive project execution. Working under the direction of the AVP, Office of Medical Leadership, the Program Director partners closely with the PIC to translate organizational priorities into actionable plans, driving progress across strategic initiatives, governance activities, executive communications, and cross-functional projects. The Program Director provides thought partnership, anticipates leadership needs, and ensures alignment across physician leaders, administrative leadership, and key institutional stakeholders. The role is responsible for preparing the PIC for executive meetings and governance forums, coordinating high-priority initiatives, monitoring progress against strategic objectives, and driving accountability for execution. As a central point of coordination across the PIC's portfolio, the Program Director ensures leadership priorities are advanced efficiently, decisions are translated into action, and organizational initiatives remain on track. In addition to partnering with the Physician-in-Chief, the Program Director is a key connector across the Office of Medical Leadership, fostering collaboration and alignment among OML leaders and with clinical, operational, and administrative partners across the organization. The role integrates the PIC's priorities with the broader OML portfolio, facilitates communication and coordination across departments, and advances enterprise initiatives that strengthen physician leadership, governance, and organizational performance. The Program Director, Office of Medical Leadership (OML) is an operations partner to the Physician-in-Chief (PIC), providing high-level administrative, operational, and project coordination support across the PIC's portfolio. Working under the direction of the AVP, Office of Medical Leadership, the Program Director will translate the PIC's priorities into coordinated action by advancing governance activities, executive communications, meeting management, and day-to-day portfolio coordination. As a trusted partner to the PIC, the Program Director advances priorities by facilitating communication, maintaining visibility into ongoing initiatives, coordinating across stakeholders, and supporting timely execution of leadership priorities. Requirements

Bachelor’s degree required; background in healthcare administration, public health, business, or a related discipline preferred.
7+ years of experience in healthcare, healthcare administration, healthcare consulting, executive support, academic medicine, , or related roles.
Experience partnering with senior executives or physician leaders within a healthcare or academic environment strongly preferred.
Exceptional organizational and project coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including preparation of executive presentations, correspondence, and briefing materials.
Strong attention to detail and ability to synthesize complex information into organized, actionable deliverables.
Demonstrated professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment when supporting senior physician leadership.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build effective working relationships across physician and administrative teams.
Proactive, collaborative, highly organized, and comfortable managing evolving priorities with minimal supervision.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook, and related productivity tools.

Responsibilities

Act as a strategic thought partner to the Physician-in-Chief (PIC), providing executive support to advance organizational priorities, physician leadership initiatives, and institutional goals.
Work closely with the PIC to manage a dynamic portfolio of strategic initiatives, ensuring priorities are clearly defined, coordinated, and executed across multiple stakeholders.
Drive execution of the PIC's priorities by developing project plans, monitoring progress, identifying risks, and ensuring timely completion of key deliverables.
Prepare the PIC for executive meetings, Board presentations, governance forums, and external engagements through comprehensive briefing materials, strategic messaging, and meeting preparation.
Lead the planning and coordination of physician leadership meetings, Medical Leadership Councils, executive committees, and governance forums, including agenda development, content curation, facilitation support, documentation, and follow-up.
Translate strategic discussions into actionable plans by tracking decisions, monitoring commitments, and driving accountability for follow-through across physician and administrative leadership.
Coordinate cross-functional initiatives that span clinical, operational, and administrative teams, fostering alignment and facilitating collaboration to achieve organizational objectives.
The Program Director is the central point of coordination for the PIC's leadership portfolio, maintaining visibility into ongoing initiatives, emerging priorities, and organizational dependencies.
Develop executive presentations, briefing documents, reports, correspondence, and communications that effectively convey complex information to diverse internal and external audiences.
Synthesize information from multiple sources into concise analyses, recommendations, and executive-ready materials to support informed decision-making.
Conduct environmental scanning, benchmarking, and strategic research to inform leadership discussions, organizational planning, and priority initiatives.
Identify opportunities to improve operational effectiveness, governance processes, and leadership workflows, implementing solutions that enhance organizational efficiency.
Drive change management efforts associated with strategic initiatives, to coordinate communications, stakeholder engagement, and implementation activities.
Function as a trusted liaison between the Physician-in-Chief, physician leaders, executive leadership, and key institutional stakeholders to ensure effective communication, alignment, and execution.
Lead and support special projects and high-priority initiatives on behalf of the Physician-in-Chief and the Office of Medical Leadership, exercising sound judgment, discretion, and independent initiative.
