The Program Director/Instructor for Medical Sonography is a full-time faculty member responsible for providing leadership for the Medical Sonography Program while teaching didactic, laboratory, and clinical courses. As the founding Program Director, this position provides leadership in developing the Medical Sonography Program from inception through and beyond initial accreditation and enrollment of the inaugural cohort. Responsibilities include program planning, curriculum development, student success, accreditation, clinical education, faculty coordination, laboratory oversight, and continuous quality improvement. The Program Director serves as the primary liaison with clinical affiliates and accrediting agencies and ensures compliance with Bladen Community College policies and the standards of the North Carolina Community College System (NCCCS), Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC), Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP), and Joint Review Committee on Education in Diagnostic Medical Sonography (JRC-DMS).
