About The Position

The Program Director will oversee the Internal Medicine Residency Program, including its administration, curriculum planning, recruitment, teaching, and supervision. This role involves establishing the strategic direction of the program and ensuring its quality and reputation, consistent with ACGME accreditation requirements. The Program Director will also hold an academic faculty appointment through the affiliate medical school, with the type of appointment dependent on experience and academic qualifications. A key aspect of the role is supporting the integration of the Internal Medicine Program with physician practices and hospital clinical services to enhance value, quality, and the professional practice and medical education environment.

Requirements

• Three to five years of Internal Medicine post residency clinical experience
• Core faculty experience in an ACGME-accredited Internal Medicine Residency program
• A minimum of 3 years of GME teaching/administrative experience as Program Director or Associate Program Director
• Excellent communication skills
• Active involvement in research and scholarship (publications, presentations, etc.)
• Mentorship experience of residents and students in scholarship and development of scholarship programs

Nice To Haves

• Inpatient and administrative experience is preferred
