About The Position

Oversee and support the day-to-day operations of an assigned community-based employment setting which includes OPTS centers, SEP, and competitive and volunteer work. Work in conjunction with Assistant Vice President, direct care staff, and Marketing Department (clinical programs only) to oversee outcome orientated employment goals. Responsible for program development, administrative duties, staffing, training and supervision of Case Worker/Manager and program direct care staff.

Requirements

  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and the internet.
  • Successful completion and maintenance of all state and agency mandated trainings, including medication administration.
  • Must be willing to authorize a Criminal History Background Check (CORI) and release of information concerning allegations from Disabled Persons Protection Commission (DPPC), Department of Developmental Services (DDS), and other agencies.
  • Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
  • Ability to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.
  • Must be fluent in English and have the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with individuals under supervision, employees of the organization, families, and members of the community.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and coordinate all employment and Community Based Day Services (CBDS) provided by RTR promoting community inclusion through all facets of services.
  • Train and lead staff to foster independence for individuals to reach their maximum employment potential.
  • Work in accordance with Department of Labor Guidelines, set-up workflow/assembly line and other job requirements set by employer (clinical program only).
  • Provide on-the-job training and supervision to individuals in a 1:1 or group format at community-based, business locations, and RTR OPTS centers.
  • Promote community-based employment by working with Case Management and ISP team on related strategies and supports.
  • Provide ongoing support and training to ensure all staff are educated and participate in both Positive Behavior Supports (PBS) and the Quality Behavior Curriculum.
  • Conduct and document supervision meetings and annual staff evaluations.
  • Conduct program staff meetings at least weekly.
  • Meets regularly with AVP and Marketing Department staff (clinical program only) to ensure ongoing communication and program coverage.
  • Work closely with all team members on all quality assurance systems, Survey and certification coordination, CARF, Human Rights, DPPC, Incident & Restraint reporting.
  • Serve as the program Human Rights Officer.
  • Serve as a liaison between vocational services, funding agencies, families, guardians, advocates and vendors.
  • Complete written reports, as needed safety and maintenance issues, safety plans, evacuation plans, etc.
  • Oversee, in conjunction with Case Management and Behavior Clinician the implementation of all behavior plans, data collection, peer review and human rights process.
  • Monitor vocational and behavioral goals of all individuals in the program.
  • Attend mandated Safety Care training.
  • Responsible for implementing physical restraints on the Individuals we support to assist with behavioral management.
  • Cooperate and interact with co-workers, clients, volunteers, and funders in a collaborative, courteous, empathic, and professional manner.
  • Demonstrate willingness and ability to be part of a team effort.
  • Perform all personnel management functions in cooperation with Human Resources and in accordance with RTRs policies and procedures.
  • Serve as crisis manager for work services program, portraying appropriate role modeling for behavioral limits, positive approaches, and all interventions up to and including physical restraints.
  • Provide on-the-job support in a variety of community-based settings.
  • Dress in a manner that reflects the safety concerns at the corporate culture of the specific business in which the individual or individuals are placed.
  • Develop, implement, and modify, as necessary, “mini” Exposure Control Plan to comply with OSHA’s Bloodborne Pathogens Standard.
  • Train staff accordingly.
  • Participate in on-the-job training and provide coaching to new co-workers as directed.
  • Adhere to agency safety standards.
  • Perform additional duties, or substitute for others as required.
  • Adhere to all RTR policies and procedures.
  • Develop and provide all services in accordance with RTR’s philosophies including staff and Board beliefs.
