About The Position

The Program Director, Careers in Finance serves as the subject matter expert for financial services and corporate finance careers within the Business Career Services (BCS) office at the Warrington College of Business. Reporting to the Director, Graduate Business Career Services, this position is responsible for designing, implementing, and continuously enhancing a comprehensive finance career coaching strategy that prepares students for highly competitive internship and full-time recruiting. The Program Director provides individualized career coaching, develops industry-specific programming, partners with employer relations staff to strengthen relationships with companies offering high-level finance roles, collaborates with faculty and student organizations, and serves as the key resource on industry trends, recruiting timelines, case interview preparation, and professional development. The Program Director will also serve as our key point of contact and liaison with the College’s academic Finance Department, working in collaboration on career development programming and services. He/She will also collaborate closely with the MBA Programs Office to support the marketing, recruitment, and retention of highly qualified prospective students who aspire to careers in financial services. This role plays a critical role in expanding financial services and corporate finance employment outcomes while strengthening the Warrington College of Business brand among financial services employers nationally.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in an appropriate area and four years of relevant experience; or a bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area and six years of relevant experience.
  • Valid driver's license.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree and six to ten years of appropriate experience in one or more of the following: Investment Banking, Wealth Management, Corporate Finance, Financial Services Corporate Recruiting, Campus Recruiting (within a financial services organization)

  • Highly proficiency with web-based resources, spreadsheet and presentation software required (MS Office Suite: Teams, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel; various data visualization platforms-Cognos, Power-BI; AI LLM’s).
  • Ability and willingness to work flexible hours with occasional travel required.

Responsibilities

  • Follow existing University of Florida policies. Work with the Assistant Dean if the need for amendments arises and follow department, college, and university procedures for change on a case-by-case basis.
  • The Program Director, Careers in Finance, will play a key role in the annual planning and analysis of the overall Business Career Services strategy and be an integral part of accomplishing the offices’ vision and mission.
  • The Program Director, Careers in Finance, will have a high level of public contact with all Warrington College of Business stakeholders on a daily basis. Stakeholders include business students, faculty, and staff of the College. The Program Director will interact with these individuals on several levels in an effort to accomplish his/her stated goals and responsibilities, ensuring quality career services event experience for all involved.
  • The Program Director, Careers in Finance, will play a role in the annual planning and analysis of the overall BCS strategy and be an integral part of accomplishing the office’s vision and mission. The Program Director will provide additional support to departmental units as necessary.
