This job is a full time, benefited, FLSA Exempt/Professional position in the Nursing Sciences Division that reports to the Dean of Nursing and Life Sciences. The program director is responsible for the ongoing management, development, implementation, and instruction of the Associate Degree Nursing program. Duties include curriculum design and development; instruction, recruitment, and advisement of students; budgeting; management of adjunct faculty; and participation in college committees and professional enhancement activities. The program director will teach a minimum of 19 contact hours of day or evening instructional courses per semester [not including Occupational Based-Instruction or internships]. Teaches face-to-face, hybrid, and online classes as needed to provide course delivery and scheduling options that promote student retention and program completion. Evaluates students' progress in attaining goals and objectives. Requests and maintains supplies and equipment and prepares budget requests. Maintains program accreditation requirements. Prepares and maintains all required documentation and administrative reports. Attends staff development training, workshops, seminars and conferences. Ensures safety and security requirements are met in the training area. Meets with students, staff members, and other educators to discuss students' instructional programs and other issues. Assists with recruitment, retention, and job placement efforts. Serves as the nurse administrator and accomplishes all duties adhering to the BON and ACEN requirements.
