About The Position

As the Program Delivery Lead - Fleet/Transportation, you will report directly to the Strategy Advancement Director. You will provide strategic and operational oversight of programs including vehicle fleet and business-driving programs supporting home health clinicians, leaders, and sales associates. Operating as a senior individual contributor aligned to Humana's Lead job level, you will develop and implement programs designed to partner with leaders on implementation planning, reviewing and communicating program outcomes. You will act as a trusted advisor, collaborating with executives to develop segment-specific functional strategies on matters of significance. Exercise independent judgment in analyzing variable factors to determine optimal courses of action for complex fleet, safety, compliance, and financial matters. Ensure fleet readiness, cost efficiency, regulatory compliance, and effective support of a distributed, and field-based workforce.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations, Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years of experience in fleet management, operations, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate independently and make sound decisions on complex issues, requiring analysis of variable factors and determining the best course of action.
  • Experience supporting a distributed, field-based workforce preferred.
  • Occasional travel based on business needs
  • Valid driver's license
  • Self-provided internet service must meet the following criteria: At minimum, a download speed of 25 Mbps and an upload speed of 10 Mbps is required; wireless, wired cable or DSL connection is suggested. Satellite, cellular and microwave connection can be used only if approved by leadership.
  • Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI/HIPAA information.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the fleet and broader transportation (fleet, mileage reimbursement, liability) subject-matter expert and advisor to leaders on fleet strategy, policies, and transportation programs for the segment-specific needs.
  • Develop and implement programs designed to drive value-based relationships within fleet and business-driving operations
  • Lead vehicle lifecycle management including requisition design, acquisition, assignment, utilization, and decommissioning in partnership with external fleet management providers and procurement.
  • Partner with leaders regarding implementation planning for fleet and program initiatives and provide oversight to ensure consistent execution across regions.
  • Monitor fleet and transportation budgets, utilization, and total cost of ownership; identify and implement cost-optimization opportunities and proactively report program economics, risks, and performance to leadership.
  • Review and communicate results of fleet and program initiatives to stakeholders and executives including key risks, compliance gaps, and financial performance insights.
  • Partner with decision makers to analyze and recommend mileage reimbursement rates using cost, utilization, and market data.
  • Advise executives to develop functional strategies (often segment-specific) on matters of significance related to fleet and business-driving programs including insurance, liability, and risk exposure management.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, maintenance, inspection, insurance, and regulatory requirements while supporting policy governance through regular review, updates, and stakeholder alignment.
  • Oversee incident and vehicle repair management, claims coordination, and corrective action plans to reduce long-term liability exposure and cost.
  • Maintain fleet data, reporting, and executive-ready analytics to support decision making and governance including development of repeatable reporting on utilization, financials, and risk metrics.
  • Exercise independent judgment and decision making on complex issues regarding job duties and related tasks, working under minimal supervision.
  • Liaise with Operations, HR, Safety & Security, Finance, Risk Management, Procurement, and vendors to align fleet programs and policies.
  • Act as a cross-functional connector to support policy development and decision-making alignment.
  • Partner with Corporate Communications, HR, and Change Management teams to support development of associate communications and drive understanding, adoption, and compliance with fleet policies.
  • Support oversight of liability, insurance, and risk-related costs by identifying trends and driving actions to reduce total exposure over time.
