About The Position

The Media and Arts Program Coordinator develops, coordinates, and facilitates innovative media arts programming for justice-involved youth ages 13-18 participating in the Post Dispositional Evening Reporting Center (Psot-ERC) and the Community Intervention Center (CIC). Through hands-on instruction in podcasting, music production, photography, videography, digital storytelling, graphic design, and multimedia production, the coordinator engages youth in creative learning experiences that build confidence, strengthen workforce and life skills, promote positive decision-making, and expose participants to career pathways in media and the arts. The coordinator oversees the operation of the program's recording studio, computer lab, cameras, and media production equipment while creating a safe, supportive, and trauma-informed environment that encourages self-expression and positive youth development. Working closely with Post-ERC and CIC staff, community partners, and volunteers, the Coordinator integrates creative programming into broader service goals, helping youth develop prosocial skills, amplify their voices, and achieve educational, personal, and career readiness outcomes.

Requirements

  • Minimum of High School Diploma with a minimum of 4 years working with dependent/delinquent youth required
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) at an intermediate to advanced level; skilled in generating data reports and maintaining accurate records.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities; excellent verbal and written communication skills; capable of managing multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated empathy and concern for program participants; must be a flexible, proactive team player capable of navigating diverse site environments.
  • Must demonstrate genuine empathy and concern for individuals as indicated in our corporate vision, mission, and values statements.
  • Must be able to demonstrate sensitivity in all oral and written communications regarding persons served within the agency.
  • Adhere to applicable city, county, state, and federal laws and regulations, internal and CARF standards.
  • Must have current State clearances for Child Abuse, Criminal Records check, and contagious diseases.
  • Ability to communicate verbally in English, read written or typed information, communicate legibly in writing, speak English clearly, and hear voice in conversational tone.

  • bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years prior experience in a mental health or social services setting is advantageous.
