About The Position

RoboFun | Vision Education & Media provides exciting, hands-on after-school programs using emerging technologies for PK-12th grade youth. We ignite kids’ passion to explore and solve problems as they learn to invent, build, code, and troubleshoot. Our students build and program LEGO® robots, solder DIY electronic projects, create and code video games, shoot stop motion animations, and design web pages. Job Summary: Provide direct and administrative support for off-site programs. Assist with software installations and logistics for offsite programs. Teach classes as needed in schools and after-school programs throughout the city. Develop and administer program evaluations. Collaborate with the grant writing team on key data, narratives, and budgets.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Eligibility to work in the United States
  • Experience working with children in traditional or non-traditional learning environments
  • Ability to solve problems and work independently with attention to detail
  • Strong project, planning, and time management skills are essential
  • Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and communicate with multiple staff members and partners in an efficient and professional manner

Responsibilities

  • Support finding new partners and new schools for programs
  • Schedule programs with school and grant administrators
  • Collaborate with HR on staffing, and with the Program Coordinator on equipment delivery
  • Send logistics to instructors for offsite clubs
  • Send contracts and work orders to schools/CBOs for offsite clubs
  • Review lesson plans and provide feedback to mentors
  • Assist in attendance collection
  • Teach classes as a substitute mentor as needed
  • Coordinate with schools and CBOs on equipment and installation logistics
  • Administer surveys and focus groups as needed
  • Analyze all available data to provide class/technology/goal information
  • Produce observation reports and findings
  • Review RFPs to assess eligibility and capacity to complete a proposal
  • Collaborate with the grant writing team on program design, budget, and narrative
  • Review and edit completed proposals
