About The Position

The Program Coordinator supports the implementation and daily operations of the Next Generation Scholars program and College Preparation Intervention Program (CPIP) – comprehensive college preparation initiatives serving Baltimore City Schools and Baltimore County Public Schools. This role coordinates student services, manages program logistics, and provides direct support to participants and families while working collaboratively with campus partners, high school partners, and community-based organizations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in education, social work, or related field
  • One year of administrative or program/event management experience in college access programming, student services, or K-12 education, or related field
  • Experience working with first-generation college students and the underrepresented population
  • Proficiency in database management systems and/or CRM (Slate)
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel (preferably including use of formulas, creating charts, and sorting data), and PowerPoint
  • The employee must operate a motor vehicle to perform essential job functions.
  • The employee must work weekends or evenings.

Responsibilities

  • Manage participant recruitment, application review, and ongoing student support services, including tutoring coordination and academic progress monitoring.
  • Coordinate transportation logistics, campus visits, family engagement events, and Summer Academy residential programming for 100 students across four or five Baltimore City and Baltimore County high schools.
  • Organize and execute monthly campus programming, family workshops, college visits, and special events while ensuring compliance with safety and institutional policies.
  • Serve as the primary contact with Goucher campus partners, Baltimore City Schools, and Baltimore County Public Schools personnel, community partners, and family members, providing bilingual communication support as needed.
  • Maintain comprehensive student tracking systems, prepare progress reports, and support program evaluation efforts using Slate and other database systems.
