About The Position
HYW Kindergarten & 1st Grade Jumpstart Summer Program - Program Coordinator. Program Goal: Students participating in a summer program, and their families, will be introduced to the Kindergarten and 1st Grade routines, expected behaviors, and supports available.
Requirements
- Appropriate certification and/or educational background
- Strong leadership skills (experience in managing educational programs)
- Strong planning and organizational skills
Responsibilities
- Consult with principal regarding letter of invitation and student list
- Disseminate information/invitation to students / parents of incoming K students
- Consult with principal regarding summer staff appointments
- Provide staff training prior to beginning of program
- May need to adjust existing curriculum and/or write new curriculum
- Maintain student enrollment data
- Maintain staff and student attendance data
- Scheduling of bus transportation
- Submit payroll
- Provide translator assistance
- Assist the Title I director with site specific grant requirements
- Report program results to school principal and Title I director
