The LVN program Coordinator works with and functions under the supervision of the Campus VN Program Director and VN Assistant Program Director for the Vocational Nursing Program. This role involves assisting in the planning, development, management, updating, and evaluation of all aspects of the program. Key responsibilities include preparing documentation for state and Board requirements, training and developing faculty, ensuring course coverage, and overseeing the timely completion of theory and clinical evaluations. The coordinator also gathers feedback from students, clinical sites, and faculty, and contributes to strategic planning and assessment of instructional initiatives to maintain program quality. They are responsible for ensuring clinical assignments and schedules are up-to-date, that faculty adhere to policies regarding student clinical experiences, and that student learning materials are reviewed regularly. Maintaining student records according to policies, submitting program reports, and staying current with new technologies and safety regulations are also crucial. Additionally, the role involves providing advising support to students, ensuring they meet graduation and licensing exam requirements, and teaching theory or clinical courses as needed.
