About The Position

Yazaki is looking for a Program Coordinator - Pre-production to join their TPNO Toyota team in Canton, MI. The Program Coordinator's customers are Yazaki affiliates and external customers, and every task performed supports these two groups. This is a cross-functional position requiring interaction with Program Management, Core Purchasing, Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, Distribution Center, and Transportation.

Requirements

Previous experience with receiving orders.

Bachelor’s Degree preferred
Shipping and transportation control background desired
Spanish speaking preferred, but not required

Responsibilities

Receive and respond to Purchase Orders (PO) from customers through the order system.
Generate internal Purchase Orders and issue them to Manufacturing plants.
Daily monitoring and tracking of customer and internal Purchase Orders.
Use SAP for checking carry-over inventory and coordinate with PCD and DC for order pick.
Coordinate incoming shipments from affiliates to internal departments.
Respond to all affiliate communications (email/chat) within a 24-hour period.
Verify order status and coordinate with contacts/coworkers to resolve problem issues with customers, affiliates, and internal departments.
Coordinate to ensure affiliate on-time delivery.
Coordinate to ensure on-time delivery to customers, negotiating due-dates as required.
Track and enter expedited freight occurrences into Beams.
Prepare and issue "Forecast" to affiliates for pre-production order readiness.
Collaborate with the Program Manager regarding any known engineering changes that may affect "incoming" and "outgoing" shipments.
Determine cost responsibility and obtain authorization to issue debit and credit memos for extraordinary costs to Affiliates and/or Business Units.
Set up and maintain information processing systems (filing, paperwork flow, etc.).
Collaborate with the Program Manager to ensure smooth flow of affiliate and customer communication regarding orders and deliveries.
Prepare and issue PR/PO for packaging requirements using Coupa.
Prepare and issue PR/PO for tooling requirements in SAP.
Prepare/issue component Spot buy PO in SAP and coordinate to ensure on-time delivery to manufacturing or end-user.
Preparation of departmental procedures, flowcharts, and work instructions.
Special assignments.
