About The Position

The University of Nevada, Reno is recruiting for a Program Coordinator with the Child and Family Research Center. The Program Coordinator assists in the planning, implementation and evaluation of the comprehensive infant/toddler early care and education services provided at Early Head Start sites. The Coordinator assures compliance with the Head Start Performance Standards, Federal rules, and all applicable state and local regulations. The Coordinator provides leadership, direction, and oversight for specific aspects of program operations as identified in Part 1302 of the HEAD Start Program Performance Standards 45 CFR Chapter XIII. The specific components for the person hired in this position will be identified in the annual Administrative Faculty Goal Statement. The Coordinator reports to the Director, CFRC.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree and three (3) years of related work experience; OR a Master’s degree and two (2) year of related work experience.
  • Related Experience: Early childhood education, human development & family studies, social work or a related field.
  • Experience working with programs for infants and toddlers and low-income children and families from diverse backgrounds; must include two (2) years in human services program management and one year of supervisory experience.
  • Current negative tuberculin test
  • FBI background check/fingerprints before employment
  • Certified in CPR and First Aid
  • Valid Nevada driver’s license or ability to obtain one within specified time period
  • CLASS reliable (Infant and Toddler) within 12 months of hire
  • Flexible schedule required
