About The Position

Primarily responsible for the oversight & supervision of milieu staff, scheduling and programming for NE programs as part of the interdisciplinary team and in tandem with the Program Director. Provide support and maintain structure for patients in all programs outside of regular program hours and during transition times. Provides individual therapy, case management, group therapy, and treatment planning.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree required or Ph.D/PsyD in behavioral health field preferred.
  • Licensed as PLMHP, LMHP, LIMHP required.
  • Good oral and written communication skills a must.
  • Clinical leadership skills a must, minimum of two years’ experience supervising others.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working individually and in groups with eating disordered clients preferred.
  • Clinical conceptualization of the treatment of eating disorders and dual diagnosis preferred.
  • Experience managing a department strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures EDCare’s mission and treatment philosophy is consistently implemented in treatment program.
  • As part of clinical leadership team initiates and participates in creative and effective program development.
  • Ensure quality treatment programming as evidenced by review of written curriculum.
  • Establish and edit policies and procedures for ongoing consistency in delivery of clinical services.
  • Coordinates efforts of clinical team to provide consistent, effective day to day treatment.
  • Supervises the program and milieu staff to deliver PHP/IOP/EIOP services as designed.
  • Supervise Art therapist duties- ordering supplies, hourly schedule, clinical training, etc.
  • Supervise Movement/Yoga (experiential) therapist duties – supplies, hourly schedule, clinical training
  • Attend all staffing and monitor treatment progress of PHP/IOP/EIOP patients.
  • Attends and oversee community meetings.
  • Support milieu and clinical staff in professional growth.
  • Collaborates with Program Director in maintaining internal clinical training handbooks.
  • Receive and respond to student requests for internships via email, schedule interviews, and identify and schedule selected students for internship for the fall and summer slots; maintain relationships with internship liaisons at the college Master’s programs.
  • Schedule milieu and student orientations and trainings; provide or arrange student supervisions.
  • Complete annual performance reviews of milieu staff in a timely manner.
  • Actively work with Program Director and human resources in the hiring process (reviewing resumes, interviewing and decision-making).
  • Maintain PHP / IOP / EIOP program schedule that provides appropriate staffing for milieu coverage.
  • Complete monthly chart audits for primary, milieu, and admission clinicians.
  • Complete monthly PI dashboards in accordance with Joint Commission expectations.
  • In collaboration with Program Director to maintain program needs, ordering supplies, and focus on staff retention
  • Cultivates and maintains appropriate outpatient case load to be approved by NE Program Director.
  • Ability to provide patient coverage for program as need arises as described by the following:
  • Demonstrates ability to provide comprehensive and ongoing assessment resulting in appropriate treatment and discharge recommendations (BioPsychoSocial assessment completed in patient’s chart within 2 sessions, assessing and identifying current diagnoses, etc.)
  • Creates an individualized treatment plan with appropriate IOP goals and objectives (completed within 3 sessions) and continually monitors progress and re-evaluates appropriateness of goals.
  • Demonstrates knowledge and practice of clinical interviewing/counseling skills.
  • Demonstrates knowledge and skill in working with individuals and groups within the eating disorder population.
  • Demonstrates ability to build therapeutic rapport.
  • Facilitate meals with expertise as needed: demonstrate ability to challenge behaviors and support recovery.
  • Facilitates groups with expertise, demonstrating the ability to engage, set limits and monitor the group process.
  • Maintains and enforces clinical program structure and policies of EDCare (e.g., attendance, autobiography, daily check-ins, group participation, etc).
  • In collaboration with the Program Director, participates in multi-family programming resulting in increased support and awareness by families.
  • Is creative in therapeutic interventions to include homework assignments, community resources, etc.
  • Participate in weekly staffing, conveying pertinent clinical information and formulating goals for the following week.
  • Effectively communicates with members of the treatment team.
  • Timely completion and accuracy of clinical paperwork: treatment plan, progress notes, etc.
  • Provides clinical referrals when clinically indicated and provides effective and consistent communication to all collaborative providers.
  • Ongoing attention to discharge plan evidenced by development of aftercare plan, coordination with OP providers and referrals sources, and secures patient’s knowledge of available resources.
  • Completion of thorough discharge summaries reflecting the course of treatment and ongoing clinical recommendations. Completed within 14 days of discharge.
  • Completes utilization review sheet with pertinent clinical information and conducts utilization review when EIOP Admission Clinician is absent.
  • Effective and consistent communication with referral sources and collaborative providers.
  • Rotation of Holiday coverage and clinical on call, if applicable.
